Friday Worked from 8 until 4.I got stuck working over but they needed me and money is a good thing. I ran home, showered, tossed things in a bag and drove down to NYC. We were making good time, and then made the mistake of saying so, and we suddenly hit traffic from HELL!
We got to the Bronx, found parking, walked in something not so great, and in the end I had to toss out my favorite pair of TUK shoes ever! This made me very sad. But I changed shoes and we ran to the train.
We got to Wall Street, and it was freezing cold. We got to the club at 9 and there were loud humans in the space who should not have been there. This made things interesting for a small amount of time. The moon went up and people showed up early.
Candy was put out and eaten.
I took the money and gave people said candy.
I got to draw on people; it was fun.
People, you need to start paying in $5 bills. It makes life easier for the person giving you change.
There were sooooooooooooooooooooooo many pretty people there last night. If you did not brave the cold to come out then you missed out on so much fun! It's ok, you can make up for it and come to the Festival in two weeks.
Everything was good at Dances of Vice.
The Redhook Ramblers are a very, very, very good band. And everyone in the band is really, really nice.
People either really love red, blue and yellow marshmallows, or they really hate them.
Candy canes are loved by everyone.
I got to see this one boy have a fanboy moment when he realized that he was talking to Molly Crabapple; a few moments later he figured out that Lucas was Lucas and then the kid's eyes bulged out and he started falling over his words.
rattengift AKA Shien can sing, and by sing I mean the girl is very, very talented. I have said it before, but I don't believe there is anything she can't do.
It was not that cold in the hallway. I got asked that question a lot. I don't feel temperature like a normal human so I am fine in hot and cold environments.
Meg AKA
tothesoundof came and brought her pal who is a real trooper. The girl has pins in her leg and a huge cast and she still came in full flapper wear on crutches. She likes the night that much!
I found more people that are so good that they are welcome to hide out in my basement anytime they need to.
Geoff AKA
squirrelmadness danced. A great many people danced, and everyone looked fabulous.
I have discovered a love for gin and tonics which led to my recounting war stories of my younger years. This amused some as I pantomimed how you can in fact use a bar stool as a mediator. I was so well behaved with the way one person was talking to me: if I did not have the grace I have learned over the years things might have turned very bad for said person.Rude people are not fun I will tell you that.
Photos were taken. ALL PEOPLE SHOULD PUT THEIR PHOTOS UP ON THIS GROUP! There are allready some photos from last night up there.

tothesoundof you should add the ones you took there too! ALL OF THEM MEG! ;-)
The night ended and we went out into the cold once more. A plan to go to "Around the Clock" was hatched. People flagged taxies and after some random acts of extreme kindness everyone was in a cab going to eat. I ate very, very, very good food and discussed sugar gliders, children's accessories, and the making of charred corpses (this all makes a great deal more sense if you were at the table).
Then we walked a few people to their corners, then we hit the subway. My thanks to a random young guy with a beard and a green plaid shirt who held the door open for us. He was the hero of the hour. Thanks to him all four of us got onto the subway train without any issues.
We walked to the car and got sleeping bags, and then we went back to Shien and Lucas' place. They are the world's best hosts who gave me OJ. Their two cats reminded me how much I miss having one.Shien fit into the dress and I think the elf was liked. PJs were put on and pretty much everyone crashed as everyone was "the tired."
We woke up at about 3pm (which makes sense since bedtime was about 8am). Shien and Lucas were wonderful and provided tea. I got to see some of the prizes for the Festival. People: all go out for this
event!
Some of the prizes are breathtakingly wonderful. You will want these things and you will cry if you do not win them. But even if you don't win prizes there are going to be PLENTY of things to go home to... sooooo muuucccchhhh gooood stufffff!
A kind thank you goes out to Mr
melodican . The Boss of Weird Tales.
http://www.weirdtales.net/ The full page add is all sorts of great and I am glad every one can help each other out. BTW, Mr
melodican now tha the wedding is out of the way feel free to call or email so I can set you up with people to take out adds.
We left candy and some odds and ends for the festival at there place, There good eggs and thank them for all there kindness. left our good hosts at the train station, and then got good doughnuts. Then, due to it being late in the afternoon and us being very tired, instead of meeting up with Meg and her people we opted to go home and get some rest.
The drive home was good. We stopped by the shoe store and I swapped my new shoes for a size down, as the ones I got were a tad to big. I picked up 10 pounds of chocolate bonbons for the Festival, really really good chocolate. We hit Quiznos and I had SAMMIES! They are such good littel sandwiches. When I came home it was like Christmas. There were tons of packages from places to use as giveaways and prizes for said Festival

(that's just in a few weeks....)

So in short my last 30 odd hours of stuff from friday to saturday...
